LDS Bookstore Community Recycling

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe in conservation of our natural resources. The Bible teaches, "The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalm 24:1) The Lord has given us stewardship over this earth and believe it is our responsibility to care for it. We make an effort to purchase recycled materials, conserve electricity, and save water, helping reduce our "carbon footprint" and become profitable servants of the resources the Lord has given us.

Being members of our community, we are active participants in the GreenFiber Community Recycling Program. This program allows us to become active with our local community, conserve landfill space, and preserve our resources. We take all our paper products to the GreenFiber recycling bin at Franklin Elementary school in Provo, Utah. Each time the bin is filled, Franklin receives funds that can be used for books, teaching supplies, playground toys and more.

In relationship to the global economy, we may be very small, but we also believe that we all must start somewhere. One person can't do everything, but everyone can do something.
